Oh Baby!

We are preparing to welcome a new baby girl to our family! Ava is expected to arrive in early October, but we have hints that she may make her appearance before then. I will be hosting a celebration this weekend to welcome Ava and prepare her parents for her arrival. Here are the invitations that I made for the party:

I punched the tag by using my Creative Memories Tag Punch, then used a rubber stamp that I had to stamp "Oh Baby!" Ava's name along the side was cut using my Sizzix machine. The inside of the invites were printed on my computer. And of course, the ribbon and button are held on with the everlasting Aleene's Tacky Glue.

A few helpful hints will help with card making -

* Be sure you have enough invitations and envelopes for mistakes. If you are going to print them on a computer, you will need to run a couple through to ensure that the wording looks the way you want it to.
* Let all ink and glue dry thoroughly before touching or assembling.
* If you are adding embellishments, ask the post office to weigh the invitation before mailing. You may need a couple of extra cent stamps.
* Save an invitation for the Guest of Honor. They will definetely want to have a keepsake for their scrapbook.
* Always sign your work. I used this stamp on the back of the cards:
