I am Sick. of. Shit.
Don't get me wrong. I have a shit-ton of stuff to be thankful for, and I can appreciate what I have.
But I am out of time. I want to do a ka-billion things and my time is limited. It annoys me. While I can appreciate the fact that I have a comfy office job within a pleasant environment, it drives me bat-shit crazy to think about all of the things I could be accomplishing if I didn't spend my day getting paid by someone else. Top off these 8 wasted day-light hours with family obligations, cooking/cleaning, and just general exhaustion..and well, you get just about nothing. For shits and giggles, I will make a list of some things I would do that would not cost me any cash. Because if I had all day, I probably would be a bit short on money.
- Clean the basement. It smells like mold, must, and dirt. It's gross.
- Vacuum the dead lady bugs that have been in the corner of my bedroom for um..about 7 years now.
- Use the paint that I have bought for miscellaneous projects that never got started because I haven't had time.
- Laundry. And then I would hang it out to dry.
- Sew something. Knit something. Paint something. Yes, I have all of the materials for said projects. I just don't have the time.
- Plan meals. I love cooking and baking. But since I have no time to plan, I end up throwing shit together at the last minute and we eat in front of the television. It sucks, although I am reaaallly good at Cash Cab.
- Wash my windows. Which would look awesome after I painted the outside trim (See #3), washed the curtains (See #4) and repaired or made new accessories (See #5).
- Blog the shit out of my Blog. Get followers. Get famous by blogging about all of the great shit I do now that I have time (See all of the above).
- Research and write some articles for submission. Practice up to write a book and pick a couple main ideas to play around with.
- Clean and organize my closet. I have a lot of nice clothes, shoes and accessories that are piled everywhere. Sometimes I can't wear something because it is so wrinkled from laying in a pile on the floor.
- Rest. In my bed that would get made every day, on my pillows that would be fluffed every day.
Ah. Dreams. How do some people do it? Have I spread myself too thin or do I just totally suck at time management? Sometimes I think that I wouldn't be so annoyed with my job if I could just catch up a little bit at home. I would love some input on this subject - what works for you?
